PAUL SCHOLES has resigned as a director at Salford City after becoming Oldham Athletic’s new manager.
The former Manchester United player took his first steps into management this week, winning his first game in charge on Tuesday against Yeovil.
Scholes took over Salford with Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt in 2014, overseeing their rise into the National League. But despite Scholes standing down as a director, he will retain his 10% shareholding in the club.
