AM writing to you after reading the excellent column written by Groundhopper in last week’s NLP at Bearsted.
I have followed Non-League football for over 30 years and I am really surprised by the incidents of abuse being thrown towards matchday officials in the modern game.
The language at some grounds is disgusting and this comes from management, supporters and players as well and I have left many games early due to the language being heard.
I am concerned the effect this will have on young fans. Football is trying to bring youngsters to games and without them football is finished...
