WHITLEY BAY are looking for a new manager after axing boss Mick Mulhern following a club-record defeat.
The four-time FA Vase winners were humiliated 9-0 at home by Hebburn Town last weekend to leave them third from bottom in the Northern League Division One.
Mulhern stepped up from the role of assistant manager in November following the resignation of legendary boss Andy Gowens.
The club have received a large number of applications for the role and interviews have begun, with a decision not expected to be made until after the weekend.
