RELEGATED Maidstone United contributed richly before falling the latest victims to John Sheridan’s recent Chesterfield revival. A highly entertaining afternoon saw both sides create a host of openings with the home side enjoying that all-important fortune in front of goal. Wing-back Bradley Barry’s 18th minute shot took a significant deflection off Jack Powell for the opening goal and Ellis Chapman’s angled shot was nicked into his own net by Will De Havilland for the clincher six minutes from time.
