ST ALBANS City kept their play-off hopes alive with a dramatic victory against East Thurrock United.
The hosts almost took the lead inside three minutes when Khale Da Costa’s cross from the right deflected off a defender and flew inches over.
However, East Thurrock controlled much of the opening half and their best opening came when Alex Osborn turned Lewis Knight on the edge box before powering into the box and rifling a low effort that Dean Snedker did well to turn over the bar.
