A FANTASTIC second- minute strike from Liam McAlinden helped FC Halifax Town go back top of the National League with a victory over Maidenhead United that was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
Magpies’ goalkeeper Chris Dunn’s first action on his return from injury was to pick the ball out of his net after his defence failed to deal with a simple long throw and McAlinden was allowed space to crash an arrow- like volley into the bottom corner.
