LEGACY OF KING SET TO LIVE ON

NATIONAL LEAGUE president Brian Lee MBE has described predecessor Bill King as “the perfect gentleman and the perfect ambassador” following his sad passing this week.
King served as chairman of the League from 1989 to 2007 when he was succeeded by Lee, before going on to be elected as president and later a life member.
In all, he was associated with the League for over 40 years, first becoming involved as chairman of Runcorn and then afterwards in a similar role with Altrincham.
