GEORGE Gudgeon has stepped down as chairnan of Kendal Town due to ill health.
Gudgeon has handed the running of the NPL Division One West Mintcakes to the committee, who have in turn appointed Barry Hughes as his successor.
In a statement, Gudgeon, who has been in charge of the club for four years, confirmed: “Due to my ill health, I have taken the decision to step down as chairman.
