MACCLESFIELD Town say they are both “shocked and profoundly disappointed” in the decision of the EFL to appeal against the misconduct charges levied against the club last month.
The Silkmen were handed a two-point deduction – which had been suspended from a previous charge – after failing to pay wages on time in March.
In all, they were docked 13 points throughout the 2019-20 season before the coronavirus pandemic curtailed the season in March.
