ANXIOUS WHITES CHIEF IN PLEA FOR BACKING

DOVER Athletic chairman Jim Parmenter says £250,000 is needed to stave off insolvency at the end of the month.
The cash-strapped Whites are attempting to cut costs and last week listed their 14 contracted players for free transfer after they rejected a temporary 20 per cent reduction in salary.
Winger Nassim L’Ghoul has since left the club and goalkeeper Lee Worgan was signed by Chelmsford City on Thursday, but Dover are still a long way from safety and Parmenter is urging the playing squad to make a sacrifice.
