SCOTT Hammond was the toast of Coventry Sphinx after he netted the penalty that finally bagged his side a place in the third round of the competition.
The Midland Football League side had looked to be heading out of the FA Vase after their hosts opened up a 2-0 lead in the shootout but with Sports sending their next two over the bar, successful penalties from Jack Downes, Loz Rawlins and Hammond wrapped the tie up for the visitors.
