STEVE Hill’s claim that Chester should have been in the third round of the FA Cup rather than Marine (NLP, January 24) was a wonderful example of sour grapes.
I love the way he just assumed Chester, who lost to Marine in the fourth qualifying round, would have beaten Colchester United and Havant and Waterlooville in the subsequent rounds if they had actually got through against Marine.
He also went on about “if “ Marine’s penalty against Chester had not been given, and “if “ Chester’s goal hadn’t been disallowed.
