JAMES ROWE says the arrival of namesake striker Danny Rowe gives Chesterfield’s promotion push a “new energy” – but has hit back at suggestions he’s trying to buy success.
Former AFC Fylde goal-getter Rowe is back in Non-League having joined the Spireites on an initial two-year deal from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee.
It was a move which raised eyebrows among Chesterfield’s National League rivals, but the boss was quick to defend the big-spending club’s transfer policy with some first-team squad members still on furlough at the Technique Stadium.
