GARY Liddle had to wait 14 years for his second promotion – but it was worth it.

The experienced centre-back was part of the Hartlepool United side that went up from League Two in 2007.
He returned to Pools last season after stints in the EFL with Notts County, Bradford City, Chesterfield, Carlisle and Walsall and has been brilliant at the heart of their defence.
