THE LONG-TERM vision of Ebbsfleet United is what made winger Craig Tanner swap Aldershot Town for the National League South side.
The 26-year-old played 28 times for the top-flight Shots over the past two seasons having signed from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.
Tanner began his career in Reading’s academy and went on to make his Championship debut for the club in the 2014- 15 season before playing regularly during loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Plymouth Argyle.
Aldershot offered Tanner new terms but he has chosen Ebbsfleet for stability.
“I had a few offers a bit higher up and a few offers abroad so I definitely had a few to choose from but I spoke to people,” he said. “And besides that, you know instantly where you feel like you’re going to be settled.
“This is a club that’s trying to build long-term, it’s not just a short fix and that’s very appealing. As a player, I try to be on the ball as much as possible to try to bring goals and assists. That’s what brings me success and happiness.”
