TARGET man Matt Rhead says he is “thrilled” to drop down into part-time football with Alfreton Town – but admits he’s expecting a tough test ahead.
The 37-year-old former Lincoln City and Mansfield Town striker will front the Reds’ National League North campaign next season after completing a move from Boreham Wood on Friday.
Rhead scored just twice in 32 appearances for Wood last term and becomes Alfreton boss Billy Heath’s fifth summer signing.
