AFC TELFORD United have warned supporters to be aware of live streaming scams ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Live streaming was sanctioned by the National League for last season, as a response to the Coronavirus pandemic, to allow fans to watch games which were taking place behind closed doors.
Now that Covid restrictions around public gatherings have been eased by Government, clubs at Steps 1 and 2 will be able to host supporters once more.
Therefore, no matches will be allowed to be streamed during the 2021-22 season with live National League matches broadcast only by BT Sport.
Telford have moved to inform supporters to be wary of fraudulent streams.
A statement read: “If you see a link posted on social media from anyone other than the club advertising or promoting a live stream of the game, please be aware that this may be a scam.
“The club accepts no responsibility should you try to access or pay for access to a live stream and find this to be fraudulent.”
