■ TEN-MAN Newton Aycliffe secured an emphatic opening day result with a 5-2 win at Billingham Town.
Jake Petitjean’s header and Sonni Coleman’s penalty bookended Harrison Webster’s leveller to give The Newtonians a half-time lead. Ben Dibb-Fuller and Petitjean’s second made it 4-1 before Adam Burnicle was dismissed.
Danny Earl pulled one back for the hosts but Dibb-Fuller completed his own brace in stoppage time.
