■ BARTON ROVERS saw off West Essex to progress.
In an evenly-contested first half, the deadlock was broken in added time when Rovers centre-back Lewis Thomas headed home from a Charlie Smith corner.
The second half saw the home side enjoy the lion’s share of possession and they made their dominance pay when left-winger Sam King produced a fine finish, cutting in from a wide position after 49 minutes to double the home side’s lead.
The icing on the Rovers cake was secured when Thomas and Smith combined with a replica of the first goal.
