■ JAMIE Owens’ second-half strike fired Stockton into hat after a win at home to Ossett United.
Both sides settled quickly in the game, with Stockton creating the first clear opening as Kev Hayes’ pull back found Owens, who fired inches wide of a post.
After a goalless, but entertaining, first half, Stockton came out and asserted themselves, and broke the deadlock in the 56th minute.
Mikey Roberts found Lewis King out on the right side, and the full-back’s cross was headed home by Owens.
