CARSHALTON got their first win of the season, thanks to a goal in each half against still winless Stortford.
Both sides had a point from their first two matches, but Daniel Bassett and Jalen Jones broke the Robins’ victory duck.
The Blues had a great chance to open the scoring early but Robins keeper Lloyd Thomas palmed away Frankie Merrifield’s cross before Aaron Greene could nod home from close range.
And on ten minutes, Bassett fired his team ahead, with a brilliant dipping volley from the edge of the box.
