NEIL YOUNG was pleased Marine fans finally got to see an FA Cup tie after last year’s famous third round clash with Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur had to be played behind closed doors.
More than 800 saw Young’s men beat Pitching In NPL West rivals Workington 2-1 after extra time.
Skipper Niall Cummins put Young’s side ahead before a fabulous Nic Evangelinos equaliser in the second half.
An absorbing encounter was settled just before the break of extra-time when David Lynch fired in from James Joyce’s cross.
