A HORRIFIC leg break to George Saunders dampened Dagenham & Redbridge spirits as they overcame Spennymoor Town to book their place in the last eight of the FA Trophy.
Saunders was forced off on a stretcher and taken to hospital following a 50/50 challenge with Moors captain James Curtis.
Curtis saw red as a result, but even though Dagenham won through thanks to second-half goals from Paul McCallum and Junior Morias, boss Daryl McMahon was downbeat.
