NEWPORT (Isle of Wight) boss Steve Brougham says he couldn’t be prouder of young debutant Finn Smith – after it’s thought he has become the FA Cup’s youngest ever goalscorer.
At just 16 years and one day, Smith came off the bench to score his side’s third goal in a 3-1 victory over Fleet Town to earn a preliminary round tie against AFC Stoneham.
It is believed that Smith’s strike makes him the youngest scorer in the competition’s 151-year
