DEPARTING boss Andy Whing says he will always be proud of his achievements at Banbury United, but felt he had taken the club as far as he could, writes John Lyons.
The Puritans were stunned when the ex-Coventry and Brighton defender tendered his resignation on Monday.
The 38-year-old enjoyed a successful three-year spell in charge of the Oxfordshire club. The highlight was the 2021-22 campaign in which Banbury won the Southern Premier Central by a whopping 23 points.
That took them to National League North for the first time. They came a creditable 17th this term.
