TUNBRIDGE Wells are seeking a new manager after Luke Carpenter quit the club.
A statement from the Southern Counties East Premier Division club said: “After long discussions between the chairman and manager, the club accepted Luke Carpenter’s resignation as first team manager. We would like to place on record our thanks to Luke for all his hard work over the last 14 months.”
Carpenter said that Tuesday’s “beyond disappointing” 5-1 home defeat by Redhill in a pre-season game was not a contributing factor in his decision to quit.
