■BRIXHAM AFC upset the early form book as they secured a 3-1 win over early Western League Premier pace setters Helston Athletic – sending them to a first league defeat of the season.
The upset was on the cards from the third minute when Charlie Johansen scored the first of two penalties to give his side a 2-0 lead at the break.
Helston gave themselves a lifeline with a 58th minute Tom Payne penalty – the fourth spot kick of the match. However, a fourth Brixham goal through Cole Harford put the match beyond Helston’s reach.
