PAULTON shook off last week’s poor showing and managed to overcome a skilful and attractive Hamworthy side.
The Hammers took the lead in the 15th minute as captain Sam Griffin’s fine run was halted by David Slade’s challenge.
The referee gave a penalty which William Fletcher dispatched with a flourish.
However, against the run of play, Paulton’s number nine, Kye Simpson, ran on to a through ball from Martin Lenihan, turned and volleyed past Kia Storr in the Hamworthy goal to equalise.
