LYE Town stormed to victory over visitors Rugby with Adam Meacham proving the star turn as he helped himself to a hattrick.
The damage was done in the opening hour as the Black Country side opened up a four-goal lead with hot-shot Meacham bagging the opener after 15 minutes, heading in from close range.
Another header, this time from a Ben Billingham free-kick, saw him double his and Lye’s tally on the stroke of half-time with Sam Hall then getting in on the act with an added time header.
