LICHFIELD City squeezed past Alsager Town thanks to a 4-3 penalty shootout victory following a draw in normal time.
After a tight game of football, the tie was ultimately decided when Ollie Pope hit the post with Alsager’s fifth penalty to send the Cheshire side out of the competition.
During 90 minutes, the hosts had goalkeeper Jacob Kirwan to thank for them being in the game as he saved two penalties to keep the score at 0-0.
