■STEYNING TOWN are through to the second round of the FA Vase after running out 2-1 winners at home to Reading City. Harry Shooman and Charlie Meehan were both on target for the home side.
Haywards Heath Town made it through after they eventually overcame fellow Premier Division side Eastbourne Town 3-1 on penalties after the match had ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes. An own-goal and a Hayden Skerry strike had put the home side 2-0 in front but goals from Ollie Davies and Leo Groombridge took the match to spot-kicks.
