SHOLING gained a vital three points that pushed them up to mid-table and plunged Didcot further into the relegation mire at a rain-lashed Loop Meadow.
The match was decided by an outstanding moment of quality completely out of keeping with an otherwise vapid encounter.
The Boatmen were the better side in the first period, but found Didcot keeper Leigh Bedwell equal to any threat; Brad Targett and Jake Cope both saw goalbound efforts smartly saved.
