■ CITY of Liverpool picked up their fourth win on the bounce after a narrow victory over Chasetown.
The first half was cagey with both sides having little in the way of goalmouth action, although Xenon Bahula had a volley well blocked.
In the second period the game was far more open and the Purps could have had a penalty when Bahula was felled in the box early in the half. The winger then hit the bar minutes later after a cutback from Jawad Jebrin.
