NORTHERN LEAGUE

■ THE weather affected the league programme for the fourth consecutive week – but the three games that went ahead produced a staggering 23 goals. Pride of place went to bottom-half outfit Penrith, who piled the misery on winless Tow Law in a 12-0 romp. Luke Hunter scored a hat-trick for the Bonny Blues, who scored eight after the break.
Kingsley Grandison and Conor Hamell contributed doubles, while Luke Brown, DJ Taylor and Connor Shields were also on target.
Bottom club Tow Law have now conceded 72 goals from their 15 games, which have garnered just one point.
