■ KAI CORNISH’S late winner earned all three points for leaders Helston Athletic as they maintained their grip on the top spot.
Athletic had led at the break through an own goal, only for the hosts Ilfracombe Town to haul themselves level from the penalty spot soon after the interval. But in blustery conditions, Cornish coolly slotted in from 18 yards with just 12 minutes left to secure a 2-1 win and stretch his side’s unbeaten run to seven games.
