Home comforts at last for Haringey

HARINGEY Borough earned a much-needed victory over mid-table Canvey Island to ignite their battle for Premier Division survival.
The visiting side took the lead after just seven minutes as the lively Kai Brown, on loan from Aveley, crossed and Elliott Ronto cleverly headed past Boro goalkeeper Dillon Barnes to make it 1-0.
But Haringey were in no mood to give up and good play between Bobson Bawling and Matt Young saw them carve out a superb opening for Nahum Melvin-Lambert but he put his header over the bar.
