■ FOUR GAMES beat the weather this weekend but there was more heartbreak for bottom club Coggeshall Town. By losing 2–1 at Woodford Town, they are now 18 points from safety with just 12 games remaining. Closest challengers Woodford sit five points behind leaders Tilbury, who were on FA Vase duty, but they’ve played three games more.
Coggeshall took the lead through Lester Ward after four minutes, but Woodford equalised via Alex Bolovan midway through the first half. Dimi Christou scored the winner with seven minutes of normal time remaining.
