IT PROVED a quiet afternoon in front of goal for both sides as a tense and physical affair finished goalless in north London.
There were two talking points in the game, one in each half.
The first was a penalty shout for the home side on the half hour mark.
After a bit of pinball in the area, Wingate’s Elliot Long pounced on the loose ball and stabbed it away from a defender, who kicked him in the process.
The noise from the collision was evident, but the referee waved away the vociferous protests of the home side....
