NEWLY promoted Marine have strengthened their squad for their first ever Step 2 campaign with a double Irish swoop.
Mariners boss Neil Young snapped up midfielder Leigh Whelan following his departure from Guiseley – and then followed that up with the capture of his Lions teammate Kallan Murphy.
Whelan started his youth career in England with Chesterfield after making the trip across the Irish sea alongside Murphy.
