TALISMAN Sefton Gonzales has requested the termination of his contract at Clitheroe.
The hugely popular striker, 32, scored 98 goals in 203 appearances for the Blues and helped them to a seventh place finish in NPL West last season, just missing out on a play-off place.
Clitheroe triggered a one-year extension to Gonzales’s contract, but the former Stockport County, Altrincham, FC United and South Shields front man has requested its termination to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
