Teenage defender Dan Ellison has been signed by League One Bristol Rovers.
The centre-back broke into the Chippenham Town first team last season, making 30 appearances and scoring four goals.
His form earned him an England C call-up for the first time in May.
Chippenham Academy graduate Ellison had previously spent time on loan with Devizes Town, before signing for Calne Town on dual registration.
He started last season on loan at Step 4 Westbury United before impressing on his recall to Chippenham, who finished 12th last season in National League South.
Ellison has signed a two-year deal for Bristol Rovers and their manager Matt Taylor was delighted to have him on board.
He told the club’s official website:
“Dan has impressed on his journey in the National League so far and, at 19, has the potential to grow and develop even further.
“We are looking forward to working closely with Dan and helping him in his progression at the club. The local non-league scene will also continue to be monitored closely as we look to grow links with all clubs near to the Bristol area.”
