BRANDON Bagley and Scott Ruthven gave Handsworth a 2-0 opening day win at a Winterton Rangers side relegated from the Northern Premier Division One East last season.
Taylor Nicholson, Jamie Austin and Harry Day secured NCEL Division One champions Parkgate a 3-0 win at home to Goole AFC. Division One playoff winners Beverley Town were brought down to earth at Thackley, however, despite a Daniel Earl penalty. A Finn Donovan brace secured victory.
