A SQUAD entirely of debutants – and playing in a third different league in as many seasons – didn’t stop Bishop’s Stortford getting off to a winning start in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central Division against Alvechurch.
Luke Warner-Eley’s chipped through ball was kept in play by Brad Russell near the touchline, and he managed to cut it back to Braintree Town loanee Jack Roberts in the middle for a tap in inside half an hour as the Blues led.
