Heed rally after horror injury
GATESHEAD dedicated victory over Woking to midfielder Greg Olley after the Heed captain suffered a devastating leg injury.
The National League game was delayed for almost an hour to wait for an ambulance for the 28-yearold. Olley was injured on 14 minutes in a challenge by Woking’s Dion Kelly-Evans, who was shown a red card.
Heed boss Rob Elliot admitted he wanted the game called off but Olley – who is due for surgery this morning – insisted they play on, with his side running out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Kenton Richardson ...
