■ HAKAN BURTON proved the hero as Clitheroe came through a penalty shootout to see off hosts Brighouse.
Seven successful kicks meant the visitors led 4-3 before keeper Burton produced the only save of the shoot-out, allowing Richie Baker to clinch the tie with Clitheroe’s final penalty.
Baker had earlier created the game’s opening goal with an outrageous dinked pass which Veron Parny latched onto to slide beyond home keeper Paul Cooper. Miles Storey missed a chance to double the lead midway through the second half before Romario Dunne capitalised...
