■ DIDCOT’S second home game was reasonably similar to the first, this time they pipped Cribbs in a tight encounter that was low on clear-cut chances.
The first half ’s only worthwhile action saw Cribbs’s Spike Weaver having a shot cleared off the line, but in the second period, marshalled by Jim Glover’s midfield industry that heavily restricted Cribbs as an attacking force, the Railwaymen slowly gained the upper hand. A goalless draw still appeared the likeliest outcome as the contest entered the final ten minutes....
