SUTTON United were made to battle all the way by Step 3 Surrey neighbours Chertsey Town, surviving a second half missed penalty before their progress was finally assured by Ben Mason’s own goal deep into stoppage time.
Chertsey stormed out of the blocks and had grabbed the lead after just three minutes, Jack Mazzone firing low in to the net from Mason’s low cross.
