Farnborough are the latest table toppers in , rising seven places following last week’s victory over Town.

They’ve been given a boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Chelmsford City by re-signing Aaron Kuhl. The midfielder scored nine goals in 28 outings last season on loan from Dorking Wanderers, and has now arrived permanently.

Boro’ are unbeaten in four in the league but haven’t won away since the opening day, that includes an FA Cup exit to Step 3 Walton & Hersham. Last week they recorded their biggest win of the season so far, a 4-1 success over struggling , where Millar Matthews-Lewis’ brace took him to four goals in three matches.

Chelmsford City’s six-game winning run in all competitions ended last week with a 4-0 thumping at in the FA Cup. Having scored five in their first six league games, Robbie Simpson’s men have plundered 14 in four since, moving them from 20th to 10th.

The Clarets haven’t won a home game from conceding first since success over Farnborough in April 2023. They’ve trailed three times at home this term and come back to draw them all. If they win tomorrow it’ll be five league wins in a row for a second time this calendar year.

Robbie Simpson took charge of his 200th game last Saturday and was voted September’s Manager of the Month for National League South. His opposite number, Spencer Day, has overseen Farnborough since 2011.
