KETTERING Town bagging the ultimate derby tie has boss Richard Lavery daring to dream of more FA Cup headlines – 20 years after writing them as a player.
Fans of the Step 3 Poppies went wild after pulling county giants Northampton Town in Monday’s first-round draw, evoking memories of the club’s rich heritage in the national competition.
Kettering’s class of 2009 lost 4-2 defeat to Fulham in the fourth round, a tie the then-Conference outfit led with 15 minutes to go.
