CHATHAM Town and Lewes had to settle for a point apiece at the Bauvill stadium.
It was an electric start for the hosts, with new boy John Ufuah opening his Chatham account in the ninth minute.
Jamie Yila caused havoc down the right, beat his man and then his effort was parried by Toby Bull into the path of Ufuah to fire home from close range. Lewes forward Tolu Ladapo, was a constant threat down the right, but nothing came of it for the visitors.
